IPL Photo Rejuvernation

IPL Photo Rejuvenation

A non-surgical and non-invasive facial treatment used to assist with a variety of skin concerns. Remarkable results can be obtained with very little risk or discomfort.

What makes us different?

IPL Pigmentation Treatment

IPL Pigmentation can be a fantastic therapy for erasing mild sun damage, freckles, and getting rid of or greatly reducing – irregular pigmentation and light brown spots on the face, neck and chest. Brown spots, also referred to as “lentigines” in medical terminology, will fade over several treatments

IPL Vascular Treatment

IPL Vascular Removal can be used to effectively treat broken capillaries, spider veins, red spots, cherry angionomas and rosacea. The IPL treatment works by blasting damaged vessels back into the bloodstream, allowing the body to reabsorb these vessels a few days after treatment.

IPL Collagen Treatment

IPL Collagen & Elastin Stimulation will stimulate collagen growth by treating a deeper layer of skin, while improving texture, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, scaring and enlarged pores whilst evening out skin tone and texture.

WHAT IS PHOTO-REJUVENATION

PIGMENTED LESIONS - HOW IT WORKS

Light is absorbed by the pigmentation (sun damage, liver/sun/age spots etc) which is then converted to heat.  Any superficial or underlying pigmentation darkens over a 24hr period.  5-10 days post treatment, the pigmentation micro-crusts and falls away.

1-4 treatments may be required, with one month between treatments.  There are no major limitations on where can be treated.

Some further lightening of pigmentation will also occur over the following months via the lymphatic system.

If there are any suspicious lesions, a medical certificate will be required to perform treatment of that particular lesion.

VASCULAR LESIONS - HOW IT WORKS

Light is absorbed by the capillaries, which in turn collapse.  Blood is unable to flow through capillaries, which are rendered useless.  Thus, the body, via the lymphatic system, absorbs capillaries.

Vascular lesions may return and will require further treatments – while the capillaries are still fragile (7 – 14 days).

Rosacea will need maintenance and product support, depending on the severity and other factors.  The clinician will be able to discuss client needs.

1-4 treatments may be required, with one month between treatments.  There are no major limitations on where can be treated.

FACTORS THAT CAN AFFECT RESULTS

Skin Color -  lighter skin types tolerate higher fluences, thus reducing the number of treatments and vice versa.  It is advised to stay as fair as possible during the course of treatment.

Hormones  - Melasma.

Treatment during life changes (i.e.: puberty, menopause, andropause, etc) will affect the treatment outcome and results will be variable.

Environment - Overly hot or cold temperatures on anon-going basis will affect results due to the constant dilation and contraction capillaries (i.e.; a glass blower or freezer stocker).

Commitment -to having treatments at the recommended time intervals and

following pre/post care recommendations is vital to achieving optimal results.
